The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement recently announced that Appling County Elementary School has received the Silver Award for Greatest Gain in Student Achievement. Awards are based on the results of the most recent two years of Criterion Referenced Competency Test (CRCT) in reading, English/language arts, math, social studies, and science. Criteria for the Silver Award for Greatest Gain in Student Achievement are as follows: the school must make AYP for two consecutive years, >25% of students must exceed standards, and the school must be in the 96^th percentile of greatest gains for meeting and exceeding standards. Appling County Elementary School administrators, faculty, and staff are extremely proud of our students’ accomplishments in earning the Silver Award for Greatest Gain in Student Achievement.
